1 And it came to pass, when Jesus had made an end of commanding his twelve disciples, he departed thence to teach and to preach in their cities.
2 Now when 1John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples,

23 (a) "hell" = hades, or the grave.
Strongs #86 hades - from Strongs #1 ("a", as a negative particle) and Strongs #1492 ("eido" = to see, to know); the unseen, the unknown, "Hades", or the grave.
"Hades" is translated "grave" in 1st Cor 15:55, all others translated "hell".
